
Forced migration refers to coerced movements of refugees and internally displaced people as well as people displaced by unjust laws, environmental disasters, famine, or development projects. The end of 2019 saw 79.5 million forcibly displaced people (UNHCR). While the number of LGBTQ forced migrants is unknown, worldwide, 77 countries criminalize same-sex activity, seven of them with death.
